Photocopier & Printer Recycling & Disposal

Modern copiers and multifunction devices store images of the documents they've processed on internal hard drives. We destroy that data, then recycle the machine — heavy lifting included.

Few people realise that office photocopiers and multifunction printers contain hard drives that retain images of scanned, copied and printed documents — sometimes years of them. Contracts, payroll, medical records: whatever passed through the machine may still be inside it. Disposing of a copier without addressing that drive is a genuine data breach risk.

Our service handles the whole problem. We de-install and remove these heavy, awkward machines with proper equipment and trained crews, extract and destroy the internal storage with certification, and recycle the machine's metals and plastics through licensed WEEE routes. Toner cartridges and consumables — hazardous if landfilled — are recovered and processed separately.

End-of-lease returns, fleet refreshes or office closures: we work around your dates and leave your floorspace clear.

What's included

What this service covers

Internal drive destruction

The copier's hard drive is located, extracted and destroyed or wiped — with a certificate for your records.

Heavy equipment handling

Trained two-person crews with stair-climbers and tail-lift vehicles move machines other collectors won't touch.

Toner & consumables recycling

Cartridges, drums and waste toner are hazardous waste — we route them to licensed recovery, never landfill.

All formats

Desktop printers, floor-standing MFDs, wide-format plotters and production print equipment all covered.

Lease-end coordination

We can coordinate with your leasing company, documenting condition and data destruction before return or disposal.

Full WEEE compliance

Waste transfer notes and recycling certificates complete your duty-of-care documentation.

Common questions

Photocopier & Printer Disposal FAQs

Yes — most office MFDs made in the last two decades contain hard drives that cache images of scanned, printed and copied documents. Unless the drive is wiped or destroyed at disposal, those documents leave your control with the machine.
