Is IT disposal free for businesses?

For most business collections, yes — the recoverable value in the equipment covers our costs, and certified data destruction and the full compliance paperwork are included rather than charged as extras. Small, remote, CRT-heavy or awkward-access collections may carry a modest logistics charge, always agreed transparently before we book anything. Recent laptops, servers and phones often generate a rebate instead.

Which UK locations do you cover?

All of mainland UK. We're based in Birmingham, with same-week collection across the West Midlands, and run regular scheduled routes into London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Newcastle, Bristol and Glasgow. Anywhere else in England, Wales or Scotland is covered on the nearest route.

Do you collect from multiple sites?

Yes. Multi-site programmes are one of our specialities — we coordinate schedules across your locations and consolidate everything into a single set of reports.

Is there a minimum quantity?

No hard minimum. Larger volumes qualify for free collection more easily, but we have insured courier options that make even small consignments simple and secure.

Evening and weekend collections are routinely available. Many clients prefer them for busy premises or discreet clearances.

How is company data destroyed?

Every data-bearing device is either wiped with certified erasure software and verified, or physically destroyed by shredding, crushing or degaussing. Wiping is used where the hardware can be reused; physical destruction for failed drives, SSDs that can't be verified, and anything your policy says must not survive. Either way, each device gets its own certificate referenced to its serial number — evidence that stands up to auditors and regulators.

Should we wipe drives ourselves before collection?

You can, but you don't need to — and DIY wiping without verification can create a false sense of security. Our certified process is included, documented, and legally defensible.

What standards do you destroy data to?

Erasure follows recognised industry standards with full verification, and physical destruction is carried out in line with BS EN 15713. If your internal policy names a specific standard, we configure the job to match.

Yes, for every data-bearing device, at no extra cost. Each certificate records the serial number, the method used (certified erasure or physical destruction), the verification result, the operator and the date — so it can be reconciled line by line against your own asset register.

Yes. We're an Environment Agency registered upper-tier waste carrier, every collection is issued with a waste transfer note, and hazardous fractions such as batteries and CRT glass travel under a consignment note to licensed treatment facilities. That paperwork is what discharges your duty of care under the WEEE Regulations and the Environmental Protection Act.

Exactly what it says: nothing we collect is landfilled. Equipment is reused or refurbished first; anything beyond saving is separated into material streams — metals, plastics, glass, circuit boards — that feed back into manufacturing.
